Sacki App is a tool for consumers to share information about their daily interactions with merchants. Based on your identity, your experiences can be different from others. Let’s talk about how biases can show up in consumer interactions.
We use this information to help merchants be more inclusive.
Soon you can download the App to share your experiences, in the meantime please consider donating to help with our launch.
THE TEAM
The Different Like You team brings together over 20 years of experience focused on diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace and community. The DLY team understands that inclusion is critical to reaping the benefits of diversity. The real challenge is ensuring that all voices are heard, valued, and integrated into business practices to positively impact consumer experiences. The DLY team was inspired to come together during a time of deep divisions around individual difference to create a community empowering consumers and merchants with inclusion insights. We believe that creating this platform will inspire social change and begin to transform our communities into kinder and more inclusive places to live.
What People Are Saying
“Being disabled doesn’t mean I have to be shut-in. I like to go out to dinner just like everyone else, it’s frustrating when a restaurant can’t accommodate my wheelchair. I’m glad that DLY is elevating the conversation on this issue.”
— Fred A.
“It’s not the first time that I was treated differently because of my weight. Why are people so rude? I’m glad that I now have this app to let the owner know about this.”
— Ronnie J.
“As a gay parent, I always wonder if my family will be treated weirdly because we are two Dads. It’s great to now have a resource of welcoming establishments. ”
— John M.
“While talking to my Mom in Spanish, a consumer told me to speak English or go back to my country. When I talked to the manager about the repeated harassment by this consumer, I was told that I can leave. This app can take the guesswork out of where I can shop to be treated equally. ”
