SACKI Community Guidelines

Welcome to the Sacki Community! We built this community as a place for users to share their consumer experiences with each other, to highlight welcoming spaces for our users’ varied identities, and to support local businesses in serving their diverse communities.  We want to set clear expectations of what we do not allow on the app. If you see or hear something that violates these Guidelines please report it to us. We may take a number of steps, including issuing a warning, removing the content and/or media, or removing the user's account.

Kindness Matters!

People come to Sacki to connect with great local businesses that prioritize creating a consumer experience based on fairness, dignity, and respect. While we understand that people won’t always agree, we expect that all users uphold our values of honesty and respect when using this platform. The following general guidelines are provided to help set the tone for discourse on the Sacki platform.

Inappropriate content: Sacki does not allow threats, harassment, lewdness, hate speech, or other displays of bigotry.  Any user found to be participating in this behavior will be banned from using the app.

Conflicts of interest: All reviews should be unbiased and objective. Users should not write reviews of their own business or employer, their friends’ or relatives’ business, their peers or competitors in their industry, or businesses in their networking group.

Privacy and Security: Users should not publicize anyone’s private information. For example, users should refrain from posting close-up photos or videos of other consumers without their permission, and also refrain from posting the full names of other users, consumers, or business owners.  Users may not threaten the privacy or security of user accounts or Sacki (d/b/a Different Like You, Inc.) employees, staff, or partners.

This includes, but is not limited to, unwanted attempts to contact Sacki employees, staff, or partners via personal channels including personal email addresses, phone numbers, in-person visits, or via other unauthorized or invasive methods. Attempts to do so will constitute a Guidelines violation and may be escalated to law enforcement.

Promotional content: Only merchant users are able to post approved promotional material in connection with a Sacki advertising product and Business Account. Users without a Business Account are not allowed to post promotional content.

Intellectual property: Users should not post content from other sites, users, or businesses. You are encouraged to write your own content and share your own media to capture your experiences throughout your community.  Do not upload any content that violates any intellectual property or other proprietary rights.

 Sharing a Review

The best reviews are personal, honest, and reflect your consumer experience. Your reviews should offer a descriptive narrative and helpful tips for other consumers. Read below for additional guidance on adding valuable information for the Sacki community:

Share YOUR Experience: Users should share their firsthand experience, not what they heard from their partner or co-worker, or what they saw in the news. Tell your own story without resorting to broad generalizations and conclusory allegations.

Be Factual: Make sure your review is factually correct. Feel free to share the impact of your experience, but don’t exaggerate or misrepresent the facts. Users may not spread false information or spam or artificially amplify or suppress information.  Sacki is here to help communities improve positive experiences not to pursue punitive action.

No Tolerance for Harassment/Threats: Users may not discriminate against, engage in hateful conduct directed at, or threaten violence or harm against any person or group of people.  Users may not share or promote information that is intended or likely to cause harm to any person or group of people.   Users may not share, threaten to share, or incentivize the sharing of other people's private information without their prior permission.  Users may not encourage or promote acts of self-harm or suicide. Users may not threaten to post or offer to remove a negative review as a way to extract payment from a business.  Again, Sacki’s purpose is to help communities become more intentional about creating inclusive experiences for all.

Keep it Clean: We prohibit the posting of content and/or media that contains full or partial nudity, graphic sexual content, profane statements, or other offensive content—even if the content and/or media are an accurate representation of the business’s services or products.  Users may not use Sacki for the purpose of conducting any unauthorized or illegal activities.

Merchant Messaging: Merchants can respond to reviews using their free Business Account. We encourage merchants to address issues publicly by posting a public comment in response to a review. Merchants should not use the public comments to launch personal attacks or offer an incentive to change a review.

Incident Reporting

If you believe a user has violated these guidelines, you can report it to differentlikeyou.com . Note: Inappropriate use of the incident reporting system or intentional, false reports are against our guidelines and are taken seriously.

Here’s what you should know about reporting another user for a Guidelines violation:

If you submit a report, we will not share your identity with the person you reported.

Reports will be reviewed and investigated. The need for and type of corrective or disciplinary action needed will be determined on a case-by-case basis

We seek to be fair, consistent, and responsive in addressing all reported incidents.

If the violation directly targeted you, we may share certain information about the process and resolution with you (e.g., the stage of the investigation, any concerns that you may be at risk for immediate harm, information on how the resolution could impact you).

Intentional, false reports of violations are treated as a violation of the Guidelines.

If another user has reported you for violating a Rule, here’s what you should know:

If a report has been filed against you, we may contact you through your Sacki account with information about the nature of the report. We may keep some details private in order to protect the reporting user(s). If we are unable to reach you, we may restrict your account access temporarily until we are able to do so.

We will notify you of the result of the investigation and its potential impact on you.

If you believe a report has been falsely filed against you or you would like to appeal a decision,   please contact us, including as much context as possible.

Any attempt to retaliate against users who participate in reporting or investigation is a violation.

These are examples of potential consequences for Guidelines violations (non-exhaustive):

Provide a warning for the first offense of low severity and impact

Removal of offending content

Temporarily or permanently disable or remove the account

Notify law enforcement when there is a risk of physical harm or a threat to public safety

Consequences for confirmed violations may vary based on the type and severity of the violation, the impact on the victim(s), the historical actions of the offending user, and the intent of the actions.
